They are informed and competitive. They know their market and when & where to catch an image. They are the paparazzi and for better or for worse, they have become a part of the modern culture . 'Paparazzi' is said to have evolved from a character named Paparazzo in Italian film director Federico Fellini's 1959 movie "La Dolce Vita." It is a fusion of two words that mean 'flashbulb popping gnat'.And as long as there is a demand for pictures of celebrities and other high profile people, there will be paparazzi ."

Paparazzi :: a derogatory term for photographers who take candid photographs of celebrities, usually by relentlessly shadowing them in public and private activities. The term can also be extended to cover those who pursue subjects who aren't public figures but have become newsworthy due to tragedy or other current events.
